Does my boyfriend have lung cancer?:(?

My boyfriend got hit in the chest with a heavy baseball bat about a year ago.He went to the hospital and said that he needed to get surgery for something...i forgot what he told me.But he never went back to get it.So now the left side of his chest is larger then the other side.And he has trouble breathing sometimes to where hes huffing for breath.Yet,he won't go to the hospital..i beg him but he doesnt like them.SO recently he told me about this shot that he had to get because at the time he was incarcerated.It was to check if he had lung cancer,that would mean that it would get swolen within a day if he did have it.I felt his arm the day after that and it was swolen and red.Is this true?could he have lung cancer??... And i typed the thing about the bat because i want to know if that could be related to why he has it.Please help,i know this is alot to read but i need to know.Im so worried
