My husband and I want to have a baby, but aren't sure if we can afford it?

Wait until you can afford it on your own! If you are already knowing you will have to rely on WIC then thats a sign you aren't ready... WIC is there if you need it, but you should do your best to be self sufficient. If surprise expenses come up, what will you do??? You have to prepare for the worst. Wait until you have enough money that you are 100% comfortable. Our society cannot afford to care for more babies than we do already.
