How could I make fake nail polish?

My friend has been huffing nail polish and thinks it makes her cool...so I want to make a fake nail polish that looks like real nail polish but doesn't have chemicals and is like basically colored water but it needs to look more real..I want to see if she will try huffing it and see if she starts acting high..basically like a placebo..any ideas on how I could do this?
