Life Insurance and beneficiary trouble?

About a month ago my mom's boyfriend pes away. Six months ago he named her beneficiary on his life insurance policy, but she didn't get a copy of any of the paper work and now with him gone there is no way to find out where he put them. Is there any way to find out who the life insurance policy was threw?
